Peshawar: The Chief Minister (CM) of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) has dispatched directions for the concerned departments on Wednesday, to fast-track the establishment of KP Tourism Authority, according to news sources. This will aid the provincial authority into a tourist hub.
The CM was chairing a meeting in this regard and said that the aim of this authority is to promote tourism as an industry and create employment opportunities for the local population. This authority will also assist foreign tourists visiting various attractions across the entire province.

The meeting members made several decisions in regards to the tourism sector in the province, including the approval of a PKR 111.10 million grant aid for the Kaghan Development Authority. The meeting also reviewed projects like home cities for tourists, tourism police, mobile health facilities and Kabal Golf Course.

CM Mahmood stressed on availability of all facilities in the tourist zones of KP which would include international-standard hotels, green belts, sports ground, jeep tracks etc. He said that soon, a tourism network will be established in the province. Moreover, he stated that boosting tourism in the region will create a peaceful narrative of Pakistan in the international community and generate revenue for the country.
