Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister (CM) Pervez Khattak inaugurated Peshawar Zoo on 12th February 2018, according to a news source. Spread over an area of 29 acres, the Peshawar Zoo will be the largest zoo in Pakistan. Two years in the making, it was a much-awaited project as this will be the first zoo in Peshawar.
Located along Palosi Road, Rahatabad, near the Pakistan Forest Institute, it contains a large variety of the animals found in Pakistan. It was completed at a cost of PKR 470 million and contains a children’s play area and a cycling track as well.
