Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister (CM) Mahmood Khan has directed the departments concerned to complete all required arrangements for the Rashakai Special Economic Zone (SEZ) within the provided deadlines, a news source reported.

The CM stated that it was important that the deadlines were met so that they could formally break-ground on the project and that no additional time would be granted for the completion of the entire venture.
CM Mahmood asked all stakeholders to complete their responsibilities within time so that it was possible to execute the project at a rapid pace — in line with the priorities of the KP government.

During the meeting convened for discussing and reviewing the progress on the Rashakai SEZ, the officials concerned informed the CM that the relevant departments would complete the project’s development work in a different phases.

Additionally, the CM has called for a high-level meeting to be attended by the departments concerned so that the pending issues regarding the supply of power and gas supply to the project could also be resolved.
