Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister (CM) Mahmood Khan has approved the revival of a steam safari train project for tourists visiting the provincial capital — a news source reported. The venture is set to be a major initiative of the provincial government, and is aimed towards reviving and boosting tourism in the region.

Along with the safari train project, the KP government is also planning on launching a bus service to further facilitate tourists visiting KP.
According to the details available, the aforementioned train project is expected to utilize two different routes. One of the tracks will go from Peshawar to Attock, while the other will go from Peshawar to Takht-Bhai in the Mardan district.

On the other hand, the bus service will be used to take tourists on a tour of the walled city of Peshawar.
