Upper Dir: Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Mahmood Khan has announced an uplift package worth PKR 900 million for the Upper Dir district, according to a news source. As per the publication, PKR 500 million out of the total figure will be utilised exclusively for mega infrastructural schemes.

The details of these mega schemes are as follows:
- The establishment of an engineering university
- The establishment of a degree college
- Construction of the press club building
- Solarisation of mosques
- Construction of two RCC bridges
- Provisioning of a fire brigade facility
- Construction of new roads & completion of work on existing roads
- Provision of salary package for the special police force similar to that of regular police

Khan made these announcements while inaugurating the Government Centennial Model High School, which will have a capacity of 1,300 students, and was built at a cost of PKR 3.75 million. He addressed the audience and stated that he would uplift the district and create ample economic opportunities for its residents. He also revealed that the funds for the development of certain projects and the completion of Kumrat Road had already been released.
