The law further states that the departments concerned shall form the ‘Urban Development Authorities’ Board’ that will be chaired by the minister for local government. This board will approve policies, regulations and guidelines related to the operations of the development authorities — particularly in terms of their budget, finances, investments, and human resource administration. The board will also approve the master plan for each district, and the various amendments made to the plan by the respective authorities.
