Peshawar: Special Assistant to the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Industries, Commerce, and Technical Education Abdul Karim Tordher has called for an expedited development of Shah Mansoor Township in Swabi, as reported on August 26.

As per details, he emphasised the need for a robust construction master plan that incorporates essential recreational, communication, and social amenities for the residents. During a briefing at his office in Peshawar on Wednesday, Tordher reviewed the project’s progress with officials from the Urban Areas Development Authority of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including Managing Director Rashid Khan. The Special Assistant assured his support for addressing the project’s financial needs through appropriate channels and highlighted the importance of establishing commercial zones under a viable business model.
Tordher stressed the necessity of prioritising beautification efforts and considering residents’ feedback to address their concerns effectively. He also underscored the importance of including parks, recreational areas, and high-quality educational facilities within the township.

Director Amna Amin provided a detailed update on the development progress, including sector advancements, future facility plans, ongoing work, and current challenges.Tordher concluded that Shah Mansoor Township is a key government initiative aimed at delivering a high-quality urban living experience in Swabi, with all the amenities of a well-designed residential project.
