Quetta: The South Korean ambassador to Pakistan Park Kijun met with Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti and discussed investment opportunities and mutual cooperation in various sectors, including tourism, IT, livestock and minerals, as reported on June 7.

According to the details, Ambassador Park Kijun also showed interest in other sectors, including livestock and fisheries, and praised the unique culture of Balochistan, acknowledging its attractiveness for potential investors.
Chief Minister Bugti extended a formal invitation to Korean investors, encouraging them to visit Balochistan and explore its vast investment potential. He highlighted the province’s large coastline, rich fisheries, livestock, mineral resources, and vibrant tourism prospects as key areas for potential investment. During the discussions, Chief Minister Bugti assured the Korean ambassador that the provincial government would provide a conducive environment and full protection to Korean investors. He emphasised that the government would facilitate their investment endeavors to ensure a smooth and successful process.

The meeting concluded with both parties agreeing to promote cooperation and investment across various sectors. Additionally, Chief Minister Bugti informed the ambassador about the provincial government’s plan to provide vocational training to 30,000 youth. This initiative aims to enable skilled youth to secure employment in foreign countries and contribute to the national economy through remittances.
Ambassador Park Kijun appreciated the vocational training plan, recognising its potential to strengthen the national economy. The meeting underscored the strong diplomatic relations between Pakistan and South Korea and the desire to further enhance trade and economic ties between the two countries.
