Kohat: The Property Dealers’ Association in Kohat has asked Deputy Commissioner Roshan Mehsud to revoke the ban on land transfers and allow the registration of housing schemes that have less than 160 kanals of land, according to media reports published on May 11.

Property Dealers’ Association President Pir Kamran Shah along with other members put forward the demand to lift the ban on land transfers during a meeting with the DC Mehsud. The association president informed that the ban has created difficulties for the public. He went on to say that lifting the ban will help the administration generate revenues.

In another development, the government has approved PKR 200 million for the rehabilitation and construction of roads in Kohat. According to the details, the approved projects include reconstruction of Shahpur, Kacha Pakha, Tableehi Markaz, and Akbarabad roads, construction of roads in Marai and Jara Mitha Khan areas, and rehabilitation and repair of roads from Hangu Highway to Sawa Lakh graveyard, Shino Khel-Jarwanda, Kaghazai tunnel and irrigation department’s rest house.
