Karachi: The Metropolitan Commissioner Dr Syed Saif-ur-Rehman has instructed that rent on Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) be collected on market rate, a news source reported. This needs to be done to increase the revenue for KMC.
A market survey also needs to be conducted and empty plots, shops and stalls need to be auctioned, he directed while attending a meeting of heads of departments at KMC head office. The commissioner also formed a committee to submit its recommendation for the auction of KMC land.
