Karachi: The Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) is set to repair the Clifton and PIDC overpasses, according to a news source.
KMC Administrator Mr Abdur Rauf Akhter Farooqui recently visited various overpasses in the city and said that the Clifton overpass was a heritage site that needed to be preserved. Mr Farooqui also directed the officials concerned to submit a report on the PIDC overpass as soon as possible.

Why don’t they repair bridges and roads at late night to avoid traffic rush in Karachi? Karachi is an economic hub of Pakistan, but it’s all the issues are unattended.
Roads are very narrow, damaged and overcrowd. Almost all the bus stops are made either at diversions of roads or the start of the bridges causing heavy traffic rush on roads. Roads and bridge repair work is carried out at school and office timings which causes road blockage, pollution, high fuel consumption delay of work, especially major issues for rescue services like ambulance, fire brigade, as well as security issues.
