While inspecting the ongoing work, the mayor stated that the major issue of sewerage had been resolved in the area. This was done by correcting the underground sewerage system and repairing roads in various streets. The KMC had cleaned and cleared drains around the city before the onset of the monsoon season. Previously, residents and traders had been plagued with problems due to scattered sewerage and broken roads. These conditions were not conducive to the development of the local businesses in the area.
