City Commissioner Dr Syed Saif-ur-Rehman and Director Zoo Mansoor Qazi were also present at the occasion.
Addressing the gathering, the mayor said that instead of protecting and nourishing the green space and heritage monuments like the rest of the world, we have neglected them and caused devastation of the parks and heritage sites. He stressed that immediate steps must be taken to remedy the situation.
