Karachi: The Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) has removed illegal shops and other encroachments near Jauhar Complex on University Road. According to a press release, the drive against encroachments was carried out on orders from KMC Administrator Mr Saqib Ahmed Soomro.
The anti-encroachment squad removed dozens of illegal shops, which were being used for selling fruits, vegetables and meat. Heavy machinery was used to raze the shops and a senior official of the KMC, Mr Mazhar Khan, monitored the action.
