Karachi: The Land Department at the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) head office is initiating a digitalization drive to computerize all land records, according to news published on July 20.

To this effect, Karachi Mayor Barrister Murtaza Wahab inaugurated the renovated office of the Land Department – equipped with a new monitoring and surveillance system –on Wednesday (July 19). Under this development, the citizens will be offered a convenient and time-saving one-window facility providing land-related services, including land transfer, ownership, and leasing in Karachi.

Mayor Wahab stated that this transformation will ensure efficiency and transparency without any room for errors. He also iterated his commitment to facilitate citizens approaching the KMC Land Department. Mr Wahab urged for similar renovation campaigns to be carried out in other KMC offices and to improve Land Department’s recovery for timely project completions in the provincial capital.
