To avoid any unfortunate incident during the operation, officials from police and Pakistan Rangers were also present on the spot. The KMC staff used heavy machinery to conduct the demolition process.
The operation is being carried out on the instructions of the Supreme Court of Pakistan. It is aimed at clearing public areas, parks, footpaths, and illegally occupied welfare plots. Reportedly, other civil organisations, along with KMC staff, are also taking part in this drive.
