Karachi: Administrator Barrister Murtaza Wahab on Tuesday (December 21) announced that Karachi Municipal Corporation (KMC) will start the construction of road from Machli Chowk to Canopy at the cost of PKR 800 million, according to media reports.

The administrator disclosed that an additional PKR 500 million has been reserved for the construction and restoration of roads in all the districts of the city. He further added that the work on Mauripur and Sandspit Road has been completed.

During the visit, the administrator Wahab inaugurated the renovation of Water Pump Chowrangi and Muhammad Ali Johar Park at Dastgir No 9. He added that the garbage collection work has been outsourced in Central and Korangi districts. The garbage collection from house to house in other districts will be started soon. He went on to say that parks that were encroached have been cleared and open to the public. Manora Beach Front was also opened for the public for the first time.
