Karachi: Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) Administrator Dr Syed Saif ur Rehman on Monday (December 26) visited several areas of the city and directed the relevant departments to repair roads and footpaths, according to news sources.

As per the KMC’s statement, the administrator called for a drive against encroachments to be executed on an emergency basis. Dr Rehman said that encroachments under flyovers and bridges need to be stopped. He was of the view that civic issues of Karachi ‘require work day and night’ for resolution.

During his inspection visits, the KMC administrator instructed for speed execution of uplift projects and ordered the repair of potholes on roads and greenbelts. He said that he will frequently visit all seven districts of the city frequently to review the infrastructure-enhancing measures being taken.
