Peshawar: Chief Minister Pervez Khattak ordered the construction of service lanes along both sides of the Ring Road and also directed local government officials to identify encroached land to facilitate this process.
These directives were issued by the CM while presiding over a meeting related to Water and Sanitation Services of Peshawar (WSSP) on September 28. Officials were thoroughly questioned about WSSP operations, and ordered to complete the ongoing anti-encroachment drive within 6 months.
According to a news source, Khattak expressed concerns over the corruption in the local government and the development of unplanned, unauthorized housing societies.
Additionally, he inquired about the progress of several projects, including the widening of main University road, the construction of Hyatabad Overpass, renovation of bus stands, and the general beautification of old Peshawar city and Nowshera. Officials were told to appoint well-reputed companies to expedite the completion of these tasks.
