Islamabad: Pakistan and China have agreed to consider four key projects — related to oil and gas cooperation — for early implementation under the purview of the China-Pakistan-Economic-Corridor (CPEC) framework, according to news sources.
As per the publication, various projects were discussed at length by experts from both countries.

In the end, it was decided that the following four projects were to be considered for early implementation:
- The Power China International Group of Companies’ finalised feasibility study on the South North Gas Pipelines Project
- The upgradation of the Pakistan Refinery Ltd Karachi
- A Coal to Liquid Engineering Plant based on Thar Coal in Sindh
- Thar Block-VI for coal gasification to fertilizer

Both countries representatives appreciated the efforts of the Joint Experts Panels of Oil & Gas’ sub-working group, for their completion of the ‘Pakistan Oil and Gas Industry Development Plan Report’, which is expected to greatly benefit the oil and gas industry of Pakistan.
