Karachi: Naya Pakistan Housing & Development Authority Chairman Lt. Gen. (R) Ali Haider has said that the government had devised a mechanism to deliver low-cost houses under the Naya Pakistan Housing Programme (NPHP); adding that the provision of affordable housing on low instalments was the authority’s main focus, a news source reported on Thursday (November 26).

The chairman shared this information while speaking to a delegation of the Association of Builders and Developers (ABAD). The delegation was headed by ABAD Chairman Fayyaz Illyas, while its members included ABAD Vice Chairman Arif Sheikhana, Chairman Southern Region Danish Bin Rauf, Mohammad Hanif Gohar, Mohsin Sheikhani, Arif Yousaf Jeewa, and Mohammad Hassan Bakhshi.
The NAPHDA chairman said that the government had provide relaxations to the construction industry in order to improve economic activity. ‘The construction industry relief package will create employment opportunities for hundreds of thousand people,’ he added.

Commenting on the government’s measure to promote the construction industry, ABAD Chairman Illyas said that the package has won hearts of real estate builders and developers across Pakistan. Mohsin Sheikhani said that the prime minister’s construction industry relief package will not only improve the economy but also allow middle and lower middle class to own their very first house.
