The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) issued a statement announcing that it had received several complaints regarding K-Electric’s bills issued on average basis because the meter-reading had been stopped. NEPRA highlighted receiving complaints of higher bills than usual.
As a result, NEPRA took up the matter with the K-Electric management. The company was asked to provide some relief to the consumers in view of the novel coronavirus pandemic and as a result, the company decided to defer the payment of March 2020 bills for a month. Now the consumers can pay their April and March bills together without any late payment surcharge.
