Karachi: The K-Electric (KE) on Wednesday notified its decision to allow single-phase residential consumers who utilise less than 300 units on a monthly basis to pay their bills in instalments, a news source reported. These individuals will now be able to pay their bills for March, April, and May in three equal monthly instalments – payable till November.

According to details, KE has already commenced with the distribution of these electricity bills. Consumer can also access their bills through SMS and KE’s website. A KE spokesperson stated that this facility would ease the financial burden of the consumers in the wake of the coronavirus lockdown and upcoming holy month of Ramzan.
Previously, KE had also announced to provide uninterrupted power supply and defer due dates of bill payments. To help consumers avoid going to banks for paying the bills, KE has also provided alternate payment methods – with the complete list of e-payment solutions available on its website.

The power supply company has also urged people to pay the electricity bills on a timely basis so it can cope with management of operational costs during these tough times.
