Karachi: The Karachi Development Authority (KDA) Director General (DG) has ordered the constitution of a committee for the auction of KDA land – a news source reported.
Speaking on the occasion, the DG said that elements within the organisation that do not cooperate with the consumers will be dealt with firmly. Severe departmental action will be taken against such individuals.
Explaining the responsibilities of this committee, he said that it will conduct a survey to identify properties falling under KDA ‘s jurisdiction, and then present a report on the matter. These will then be approved by the governing body of KDA.
He further said that the Sindh government will be contacted soon to work on new, affordable housing schemes in the city.
He further said that appropriate fees should be collected from K-Electric, as the company is using taracts of KDA land for its various facilities.
