Karachi: The Karachi Development Authority (KDA) has planned to continue its ongoing operation against land grabbers in the city, a news source reported. KDA Director General (DG) Dr Badar Jameel stated that they would continue the operation against illegal occupants until they have achieved their objectives.

Jameel visited different schemes of the KDA in Sarjani Town. During his visit, he revealed that KDA plans to set up a special encroachment cell on an emergency basis in order to protect the land owned by the authority.
The KDA DG also instructed the executive engineer concerned with this case to take strict action against illegal occupancy, and prevent further encroachments. He stressed that they required efficient monitoring for KDA-owned property.
Jameel also specifically directed the Director Public Housing to submit a comprehensive report in KDA shops, flats, and other type of properties within different schemes across the city.

Meanwhile, the executive engineer for Sarjani Town briefed Jameel about the monitoring mechanisms deployed for KDA projects.
