Karachi: Karachi Development Authority (KDA) Director General Dr Badar Jameel has said that the civic agency plans to cancel allotment letters of the KDA plot allottees who have not submitted their dues, a news source reported. The KDA will notify these individuals of their pending instalments in its bid to give them a chance to clear their outstanding plot allotment dues.
Dr Jameel issued instructions to the Director Recovery and Director Marketing Public Housing Scheme to utilise all resources available to ensure the collection of payments from any and all defaulters. He strictly directed to expedite the recovery drive against industrial or commercial plot allottees who had defaulted on their payments.

He stressed on the need to formulate efficient strategies in order to boost revenue and recoveries of the civic agency. Owing to the lack of essential revenue, the department’s performance has been sorely affected; not to mention that the department owes salaries to employees, he added.

Moreover, he instructed the Director Land, Director Recovery, Director of Information Technology and all executive engineers to offer practical suggestions to improve the department finances.
