Karachi: The Director General Karachi Development Authority (KDA) Dr Badar Jameel has said that more than 45 playgrounds have been retrieved from the land mafia in the city – a new source reported.
He further announced that 20 of these grounds have been restored for sports activities as well. He said this while in a meeting with a Member of Sindh Assembly (MPA) Arslan Taj Ghumman. He told the MPA that KDA will extend all possible cooperation efforts for the promotion of sports activities and healthy environment.
He further said that sports activities play a significant role in the maintenance public health. He also promised to restore Gulshan-e-Iqbal Blocks 6’s cricket ground.
The meeting was also attended by Chief of United Nations Youth Committee to Pakistan Kulsoom Siddiqui, Director Charged Parking Khuram Aarif, Director Sports Ayaz Munshi, Coordinator Sports M. Naseem, and other relevant officials.
