Karachi: Karachi Development Authority (LDA) Director General (DG) Syed Muhammad Ali Shah on Sunday (March 13) instructed the concerned officials to complete the city’s ongoing infrastructure development projects as per the schedule, news sources reported.

Reportedly, while chairing a review meeting on the city’s ongoing development projects, it was revealed that there are currently 38 development projects underway in Karachi. According to Chief Engineer KDA Syed Ali Noman, the authority has allocated sufficient funding for the ongoing development projects under the Sindh Annual Development Programme (ADP) to ensure completion on time. According to the meeting minutes, the following projects were discussed:
- Construction of road in Gadap Town-Yousuf Goth
- Extension of PECHS Scheme 36 Nullah
- Construction in Block B of the Sindh Muslim Cooperative Society
- Road construction project on Vita Chowrangi

It was also revealed that work on a variety of modest road infrastructure development and maintenance projects is ongoing. In addition, specific measures are being implemented to improve the sewage and drainage systems. Furthermore, DG Ali emphasised that road cutting practices should be discouraged by KDA team members. He encouraged authorities to take legal action against anyone who engaged in the activities.
