Karachi: Special Assistant to the Chief Minister on Inspection & Inquiries Waqar Mehdi on Thursday directed the land department of the Karachi Development Authority (KDA) to digitise its data.

He expressed his views on the matter during a meeting with KDA officials at the Civic Centre in Karachi. Member Inspection & Inquiries Yasir Jan Baloch, Secretary Abdul Hanan Sheikh, KDA Director-General Syed Mansoor Abbas Rizvi, along with other officials, attended the meeting.
Waqar Mehdi said that there was a need to digitise the land record of KDA. He called on the civic agency to complete this process on an immediate basis in a bid to facilitate the citizens of Karachi.

The special assistant later visited various departments of the authority. The officials concerned gave briefings on the KDA operations. The government official directed DG KDA to issue show-cause notices to address the issue of employee absenteeism.
