Karachi: The governing body of the Karachi Development Authority (KDA) on Tuesday approved the civic agency’s budget, with an outlay of PKR 7.457 billion, for FY2019-20, a news source reported. Sindh Minister for Local Government Saeed Ghani presided over the budget session.

As per the budget announcement, the governing body has allocated funds worth PKR 100 million for the construction of pedestrian bridges in the city. Several new provisions introduced as part of the budget announcement aim to facilitate the KDA in the auction process of new schemes and plots.

The minister said that the provincial government would make utmost efforts to address the financial concerns of the civic agency. He directed the officials concerned to work for the development and betterment of the city with commitment and dedication.
