To this effect, the PR communicated that eight up-and-down passenger trains would commute on a daily basis, with the maximum fare set at PKR 50. The announcement came in the wake of the Supreme Court orders wherein it had directed the Railways Department to commence with the phased-wise restoration of the KCR service.
During the first phase of the KCR restoration process, trains from Pipri station will travel through ‘Landhi, Malir, Drigh Road, Cantt, City, Kemari, Wazir Mansion, Lyari, Gulbai, Site, Shah Abdul Latif, and Orangi stations’.

For the KCR restoration, the PR has renovated 15 bogies in various workshops of Islamabad, and the services are scheduled to reach Karachi within two to three days.
