Karachi: The Pakistan Railways administration, in light of the Supreme Court’s decision, has commenced with the restoration of the Karachi Circular Railway (KCR); further stating that it expects to begin the railway line operations by July 30, a news source reported.

To facilitate this measure, the railways department has also submitted an order of 40 new coaches. According to the work order issued, these 40 new coaches will be prepared in within four months. Each month 10 coaches will be handed over to the Superintendent Railways.
Managing Director Railways Carriage informed Pakistan Railways Chief Executive that the 40 coaches will be made ready in time and their quality will be assured. He further said that shift-wise work for the preparation of these coaches has begun in the carriage factor.

Meanwhile, Pakistan Railways has launched the process of clearing the KCR route, which will be done by the end of July.
