Islamabad: Action against three more small Katchi Abadis has been taken by the Capital Development Authority (CDA)’s Enforcement Wing.
An operation was launched by two teams of the enforcement wing at G-10/2 and Margalla Town Phase-1. After demolition of 10 houses, illegal dwellers in Margalla Town asked for 10 days’ time to voluntarily shift from Government’s land.
“This provided us time to launch anti-encroachment drive against another Kachi Abadi in I-10/1”, said Enforcement Department In-charge Muhammad Iqbal. In four hours, the authority removed around 80 houses.
“The operation went normal, but towards the end of operation, illegal dwellers started arguing with the CDA and became violent. However, despite resistance, the enforcement department executed the operation” said Director Enforcement.
