Karachi: Sindh Information and Transport Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon have announced the Orange Line Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) service will be open to the public from this Saturday (September 10), according to news published on September 4.

As per the details, the trial run of Orange Line buses has started, from Orangi Town to North Nazimabad’s Edhi Green Line station. It was disclosed that the passengers are getting free service during the trial run. The transport minister revealed that the construction of the Orange Line bus service has been funded by the Sindh government.

It is pertinent to note that the Orange Line corridor is 3.88-kilometre-long and will connect Orangi Town to the Board Office traffic intersection. The bus service will have five stations with the depot having the capacity to park 30 buses. The said project is expected to have 50,000 passengers on daily basis.
