Karachi: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has stated that the cold wave is taking over Karachi and it is expected to intensify over the weekend. The residents are advised to prepare for a cold and wet weekend. As per the details, Karachi’s weather is likely to remain cloudy with a minimum temperature of up to 10 degrees Celsius with 61% humidity.

According to National Weather Forecasting Centre, cold and partly cloudy weather is expected in most parts of the country. It is anticipated that dense fog will prevail in the Sukkur, Larkana, Jacobabad, Shaheed Benazirabad, Mohenjo-daro and surrounding areas during the night hours.

As far as Balochistan is concerned, cold weather is expected in most areas of the district and very cold in north Balochistan with minimum temperature up to minus 4 degrees Celsius. Light rain/snowfall is likely to prevail in Quetta, Ziarat, Pashin, Qila Saifullah and Qila Abdullah during the evening/night.
