Karachi: The Karachi administration has announced that Seaview shall remain open for citizens on the occasion of New Year’s Eve to enable the masses to greet the new year without any hindrances, according to news published on December 30.

As per the statement issued by Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) of District South, Syed Asad Raza, the residents of the provincial capital will be allowed to participate in the festivities at Karachi Seaview – which is hailed as a major recreational point by the citizens. It was announced that the Seaview Road will be made one-way from 10 PM onwards on December 31.

However, the public is cautioned to execute celebrations within the limits of the law. Moreover, a warning of strict action has been issued to people found involved in immoral activities during the celebrations. The citizens of Karachi are warned that aerial firing, one-wheeling or rash driving will not be tolerated.
