Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Memon has assured investors that Karachi is ready to welcome them back, citing improved law and order and the government’s commitment to creating a stable business environment.
Speaking at the 18th Build Asia International Exhibition & Conference at the Expo Centre Karachi, Memon highlighted the government’s efforts to facilitate investors through initiatives like the Dhabeji Special Economic Zone (SEZ). He emphasized that this SEZ, part of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), is one of the most modern in the country and is designed to attract international business.

“The Sindh government is working tirelessly to ensure stability for investors. We aim to bring back businesses that left the city by creating a secure and investor-friendly environment,” he stated.
Memon also revealed plans for a mega project that he described as a “game changer” for Pakistan, promising significant opportunities for business owners. Details of this project will be announced soon.
Discussing Karachi’s infrastructure challenges, Memon acknowledged the issue of heavy traffic and urged authorities to take corrective measures. He stressed that industrial growth and construction are vital for the livelihoods of both laborers and industrialists, reaffirming the government’s commitment to facilitating foreign investment.

He assured the business community that the Sindh government will address any challenges investors face, adding, “Improved law and order has opened the door for all kinds of investors to return to Karachi.”
