Karachi: Sindh Chief Secretary Syed Mumtaz Ali Shah has announced that a 300-acre marble industrial area and a 9,000-acre education city will be developed along the Karachi Northern Bypass, a news source reported. The estimate cost of the education city, as revealed by Chief Secretary Shah, is PKR 80 billion.

The Chief Secretary revealed this information while speaking to the members of Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industries, Hyderabad Chambers of Commerce, and Larkana Chambers of Commerce in his office on Thursday.
Shah also encouraged the traders and industrialists to benefit from the infrastructural development carried out in the industrial areas of Sindh. He also highlighted the role of industrialists in uplifting Pakistan’s economy.

In response to problems shared by the members of the commerce and trade chambers, Chief Secretary Shah issued directives to the labour secretary for the formation of a committee. He also advised the members to follow the rules set by the government to conduct business, and pay their taxes on time.
