Sukkur: Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Asad Umar has stated the federal government will soon announce Karachi-like uplift package for other districts of Sindh, according to a news report published on November 29.

He said that the incumbent government is focused on the development of all districts of Sindh with an aim to bring them on a par with Karachi. He regretted that the previous administrations had failed to develop other districts of Sindh (including Sukkur).

The planning minister revealed that Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan intended to discuss the development of Sukkur with Sindh Chief Minister (CM) Syed Murad Ali Shah. He assured the assemblage that the government was aware of the challenges faced by the people of the region announced the executive’s intent to fund major development projects to ensure the equal uplift of all districts.
