Karachi: Federal Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar on Thursday announced that all the buses of the Green Line Bus Rapid Transit System (BRT) have arrived in Karachi, according to news sources.

With the arrival of the last 40 buses, Green Line BRT is all set to be launched soon as per the communicated schedule. The bus service will facilitate 300,000 passengers on a daily basis. The unloading of buses was scheduled for October 14, however, due to unforeseen circumstances, the unloading was delayed for a week.

It was reported that the bus service will begin its services after being inaugurated by Prime Minister Imran Khan within the coming few weeks. Sindh Governor Imran Ismail stated that after some delays in the completion of the BRT project, the service will be open to the public within a month. Moreover, the Green Line BRT will start from KESC Powerhouse Chowrangi in Surjani Town and end at the Merewether Tower via Nagan Chowrangi, North Nazimabad, Nazimabad, and Gurumandir
