Islamabad: The Federal Government has announced the ‘Comprehensive Karachi Package’ under the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) to enhance the infrastructure of the port city, according to a news source on June 12.
Pursuant to the details, Finance Minister Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb revealed an ambitious infrastructure development plan for Karachi. This plan aims to upgrade the city’s infrastructure through consultations with all relevant stakeholders. A significant allocation was made for the long-delayed mega water project K-IV. The minister highlighted that PKR 1500 billion has been earmarked for the PSDP.
