Islamabad: The Prime Minister’s ‘Kamyab Jawan Programme’ (KJP) has registered a record number of applications for its Youth Entrepreneurship Scheme, according to news sources. As per the publication, the initiative has managed to reach close to one million applications within the first two weeks of its launch.
Under the KJP, the government has enabled the youth of the nation to apply for loans ranging from PKR 50,000 to PKR 5,000,000. Moreover, the return policies are designed to be affordable and convenient so as to avoid undue burdens for applicants applying for the loans.

An official revealed that the programme is receiving an average of 50,000 to 100,000 applications on a daily basis, confirming that a large percentage of the country’s youth is interested in this loan scheme. He added that the government had been successful in empowering this section of the population through this socio-economic initiative.

Additionally, the official confirmed that a total of PKR 100 billion has been allocated for the ‘Kamyab Jawan Programme’. These funds are earmarked to facilitate the approximately one million young beneficiaries of the scheme across the country, over the next five years. He also revealed that there were plenty more such programmes in the pipeline for the near future, which are meant to create employment opportunities for the young generation of Pakistan.
