Lahore: The Punjab Central Business District Development Authority (PCBDDA) has shared the progress of development work on the remodelling of Kalma Chowk Underpass project, according to news published in the leading newspaper on December 13.

As per the details, the authority has directed the official contractor – National Logistics Cell (NLC) – to work on the project 24 hours to ensure timely completion. So far, 1,000 retaining piles out of 2,000 have been completed within one month. The project is being completed at the cost of PKR 4.2 billion.
A spokesperson of PCBDDA (whose name was not disclosed) mentioned that the authority was utilising all the resources to the maximum to complete the project before the stipulated time. The news source mentioned the shifting process to move electrical and telecommunication instruments at Ali Zaib Road.

The authority informed that the comprehensive traffic plan will be communicated to the public before completing the closing of the Kalma Chowk underpass. The traffic plan will be planned with the help of the City Traffic Police.
