Lahore: The city administration has announced that the construction of Kalma Chowk Underpass and CBD Punjab Boulevard has been successfully completed in record time, saving approximately PKR 9 million for the national treasury, according to news sources on August 1.

Reportedly, the underpass, located in Gulberg Lahore, was designed to alleviate traffic congestion and enhance connectivity, while the CBD Punjab Boulevard aimed to stimulate the local economy.
Notably, the project’s construction, initiated in November 2022, was executed with extraordinary efficiency, and it opened for public use in May 2023. Meticulous planning, advanced construction techniques, and round-the-clock work contributed to this swift completion, resulting in significant cost savings.

The timely delivery not only relieved commuters of long-standing traffic bottlenecks but also enabled the Punjab Central Business District Development Authority to save funds for reinvestment in future development projects.
