Rawalpindi: The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has awarded the contract for conducting the feasibility study for the planned Kacheri Chowk Remodelling project to the National Engineering Services of Pakistan (NESPAK), a news source reported. The said development was officiated on July 7.

As per the details available, the RDA made its decision based on the fact that the NESPAK had submitted the lowest bid for the project at PKR 8.5 million. It is pertinent to mention here that the authority had reserved PKR 15 million for conducting the project’s feasibility study.

Reportedly, the feasibility study will help the authorities determine if the construction of underpasses at the said chowk will be more feasible than developing flyovers. Determining the most suitable project design will ensure fixing the long standing traffic congestion issues in the city.
