Karachi: K-electric staff, along with law enforcement agencies, took action against electricity theft in Bin Qasim, a news source reported. The K-electric teams took action in Gulshan-e-Hadeed to find 130 electricity connections stealing electricity worth PKR 4.2 million.
K-electric, in order to improve its services and infrastructure has taken similar actions in the past as well. Most of the connections stealing the electricity were residential, while there were some industrial and commercial connections as well. About 48 commercial connections were found be engaging in electricity theft.
Notices have been served to pay fines and dues after cutting off illegal connections.
