The decision has been taken in line with the relief measures announced earlier by the federal government in a bid to mitigate the financial impact of COVID-19. The package will allow eligible industrial customers with a sanctioned power load up to 70-kilowatts (kW) and commercial customers with a load up to 5KW to receive subsidy in their bills up to PKR 450,000 and PKR 100,000 respectively. This subsidy can be used in six months beginning from May.
