Lahore: The Punjab Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister (CM) Sardar Usman Buzdar, has decided to extend the jurisdiction of the Walled City of Lahore Authority (WCLA) to the entire province and to rename it to the Walled City & Heritage Area Authority Punjab, a news source reported earlier today (July 22).

The cabinet committee also approved the Probation of Offenders Amendment Act 2020, Punjab Parole Act 2020, and Punjab Good Conduct Probational Release Amendment Act 2020. The cabinet then approved amendment in Section 9 of Public Procurement Regulatory Authority Act and amendments in the rules and regulations for Mines, Oilfields & Minerals Development Act 1948.

In additional to that, the government further approved the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Chinese city Chengu and Faisalabad that calls for cultural, trade, and business exchange between the two cities.
