Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has announced plans to remodel Johar Town’s G1 Market, transforming it into a modern commercial hub. The initiative aims to enhance infrastructure, introduce controlled parking, and improve pedestrian access through the development of walkways, making the market more accessible and organised.

On Saturday, LDA Director General Tahir Farooq and Lahore Deputy Commissioner Syed Musa Raza visited the G1 Market to assess the site and discuss the remodeling plan. During their visit, the officials were briefed on the proposed upgrades, which will be implemented in phases.
In the first phase, the project will focus on improving parking facilities to resolve congestion issues, constructing walkways to ensure pedestrian convenience, and upgrading the existing infrastructure to meet modern commercial standards. These measures are expected to boost the market’s appeal and functionality, benefiting businesses and shoppers alike.
