Karachi: The Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (JCSC) Gen Zubair Mahmood Hayat has announced that major gas reserves have been discovered along the Makran coast, a news source reported. JCSC was speaking a conference in Karachi.
The gas reserves were discovered in a recent oceanographic survey conducted in the coastal belt of Makran. The general added that Pakistan has the ninth largest reserves of shale gas in the world and said that Pakistan is blessed with minerals worth billions of rupees. A QA session was also held at the conference.
He called youth the asset of the country for its prosperous future. He also expressed his belief that Pakistan can achieve high growth and progress through information technology and social media in e-commerce.
